The Milford Recreation Department announces registration for the 2018-2019 Youth Basketball Season will begin on Friday, August 24 at 9:00 a.m.
The teams and coaches that participated together last season will remain together, as they always have, but everyone will still need to register.
New individual players or players looking to change teams will be able to register for the league and will be placed on teams by the player draft. Those interested in coaching should also register.
Teams will practice once a week and play games once a week on week nights in the Milford Recreation Department's League. Teams will also be eligible to participate in the Milford Knights Pre-Season Tournament and the CT HOOPFEST Tournament.
Player evaluation will be held for 4th Grade boys only. All new players will report to the Parsons Complex Gymnasium on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Practices will begin the week of October 8, 2018 and games are scheduled to begin the week of November 26, 2018.
There will ONLY be Player Evaluations for the Boys 4th Grade Basketball League.
The registration fee is $125 per child by September 16, 2018. After this date, the registration fee will be $150 per player. This includes a Reversible Jersey.
Registration for the Milford Recreation Department's popular Developmental Basketball Program (Boys & Girls grades 2 & 3) will begin on Friday, September 14, 2018.

For those players interested in playing travel basketball, Milford Knights Basketball (“MKB”) will be kicking off the 2018-2019 season with tryouts in September (dates to be announced). Practices will begin in October with games starting the following month. The MKB program provides Milford boys and girls from fourth through eighth grades with the opportunity to play an extensive basketball season. Teams typically play 35-40 games. This program is separate and distinct from the Milford Recreation Department basketball league. For more information go to www.milfordknights.com
