Red, White & Blues - Cornhole Tournament

The Red, White & Blues "A Salute to Veterans"  CORNHOLE Tournament at Lisman Landing on Saturday, November 8th. 

Listen to some blues, sample the food trucks and salute veterans as we enjoy a day of fun in our community with our local heroes.

The Salute ends with a Fireworks display at Fowler Field.

Proceeds Benefit the Connecticut Food Bank who will be on hand to Stuff A Truck.

Registration Information
  • Entry Fee - $10 per team
  • Players - 2 players per team in Age Divisions; Maximum of 8 in Family Division (4 per side of the court)
  • Divisions of Play - Seniors (50+); Adults; Teens (13-18); Kids (7-12); Family
  • Players can play on one Age Division team and on one Family Division team
  • Deadline to Register has been extended to Wednesday, November 5, 2014

Format & Schedule
  • Doubles Play; Family Division max of 4 players per side of the court
  • Single Games to 21 points
  • Double Elimination Format
  • Schedule will emailed to Team Captains and posted on November 6, 2014
  • Games will begin at 12:00 p.m. and continue throughout the day
  • Every effort will be made to avoid scheduling conflicts if a player is on an Age Division team & a Family Division team.
  • In the event of inclement weather this event will not be rescheduled.

The Court
  • Court will be 33' long center of hole to center of hole
  • Kids Division (7-12) court will be 21' long center of hole to center of hole
  • In the Family Division, kids (7-12) will throw from a 21' line

Scoring
  • Single games to 21 (teams may go over 21).
  • Teams do not have to win by 2.
  • If both teams have 21 at the end of an inning. The game will continue until one team outscores the other at the end of an inning.
  • If both teams are over 21 at the end of an inning, the team with the most point will be the winner.
  • For an inning to be complete, each contestant must have pitched all 4 Corn Bags. Family Division all 4 bags must have pitched by both sides of the court.
  • Corn Bag In The Hole = 3 points
  • Corn Bag On The Board = 1 point (if the bag touches the ground prior to landing on the board it does not count)
  • Cancellation Scoring will be used. Bags "IN" and Bags "ON" pitched by opponents will cancel each other out. Only non-cancelled Bags will be counted.
